The Nothing

Another piece inspired by the Never-Ending Story, a major staple in Ringelstetter’s childhood, “The Nothing” depicts the artist representation of “wall people” through it’s many characters who are stuck in their lives by nothing more than the walls they have constructed within their own minds. Ringelstetter feels that talk is cheap, and finds himself and other motivated individuals in the popular Adventure Time characters, Jake the Dog and Finn the Human, who are always hungry for another bite of life. The artist feels that life is all about the journey, and he’s more than happy to find his own path even if that means leaving behind those who aren’t quite ready for the next adventure.
