Ocean Drive

This is one of the first pieces Ringelstetter did to practice the multi-dimensional layers for the “Forbidden Effect”, and it was created with the Coconut Grove Art Festival in Miami, Florida in mind. The color scheme of the background reminded the artist of Ocean Drive, which is one of his favorite places in Miami as he finds it to be aesthetically pleasing. We can find many of Ringelstetter’s classic characters mingling with some pop culture icons amongst the scene as they relax in the aftermath of what the creator believes a closed-down Miami would look like. This was a fun piece for Ringelstetter to create as well as the first chance he got to create with his own glow in the dark paint that he created for this line of artwork.
